was established in Dec 1987 as an extension to give opportunity & in order to cater to young and aspiring hopefuls, who having started working at a tender age could not further their educaton. It also caters to the demands of the industry, who needed to upgrade the skills of its workers without affecting their normal work. Acquiring a Diploma Certificate opened up new avenues for the workers in terms of promotion or better job opportunities.
Nadgir Evening Polytechnic offers 3 1/2 years Diploma courses in five disciplines -viz. Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Civil Engineering branches. The eligibility criteria is that a student should have passed SSLC and should have a minimum experience of 2 years, in the relevant field/branch to which he/she is applying.
The Principal heads the Polytechnic. The technical officer looks after the day to day work. There are number of lecturers, part time lecturers and lab staff. Admissions to these courses will be made every year during April/May. Classes start on 1st week of July every year.

Class Timings : Week days 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. & Sundays 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

LATERAL ENTRY ( directly to II year ) Available for I T I / (12th) PUC (PCM) / FULL TIME Apprenticeship passed students, as per DTE Rules 2 years working Experience after completion of ITI / PUC (PCM) / Apprenticeship
The regular evening courses are placed under semester scheme of examinations from 2003 batch.
NOTE: 1. The Training/Apprenticeship/I.T.I, trainings is also considered towards experience if joining from 1 year.
2. The Candidates should be working in Government/Public Sector/Private Companies/Registered firm at the time of admission, Data entry operators are also eligible for admission, to Diploma in Computer Science.
Mode of Selection: Personal Interview-Viva-Voice Test.
